During the fall 2023 semester at the Gensler Family AAP NYC Center, CRP graduate and undergraduate students collaborated with the NYC Mayor's Office of Climate and Environmental Justice (MOCEJ) on its Climate Strong Communities initiative. Student groups were assigned an environmental justice neighborhood in each of the city's boroughs (not including Staten Island) to research and then propose a number of medium- to small-scale design interventions addressing climate injustices and resiliency.
On January 30, an evening program beginning at 5 p.m. will include four short presentations by M.R.P. students sharing their analysis, findings, and recommendations from the urban planning workshop. A reception will follow in Room 115.
