Supplies, Fees, and Equipment
Architecture Students
First-year kit: First-year B.Arch. students are expected to purchase basic equipment and supplies for ARCH 1101 Design I, ARCH 1501 Representation I, and ARCH 1611 Environmental Systems I. The estimated cost is approximately $875.
Expendable supplies: Students should allow a minimum of $1,100 each academic year.
Required texts:
- Architectural Graphics, by Francis D. K. Ching. We recommend that you purchase this online to get the best possible price.
- The Language of Architecture: 26 Principles Every Architect Should Know, by Andrea Simitch and Val Warke. You will need this text for the second semester. It is published in a variety of languages.
- World Architecture: A Cross-Cultural History, by Richard Ingersoll. (Required for ARCH 1801 History of Architecture I)
Art Students
Expendable supplies: Students should expect to spend a minimum of $1,000 and up to $3,000 for expendable supplies each academic year, depending on academic level, courses selected, and projects chosen.
