Loop Column is an investigation into how a sheet can form a porous vertical structure. Loops are oriented vertically at the base, for structural strength, before transforming into horizontal units to produce a visual transparency. Nested loops define the shapes of the primary structure while increasing its rigidity. The column encourages touch before surprising one with prickly sensations. Loop Column extends beyond the structural and visual to become an intimately tactile experience.
