Elana Schlenker

Elana is the principal of Studio Elana Schlenker, a medium agnostic design practice established in 2011. In 2015, she was selected as a Young Gun by The One Club for Creativity (formerly the Art Directors Club) and named a PRINT magazine New Visual Artist in 2013 — both annual distinctions recognizing the world's top creative talents under 30 (now over 30). Elana has spoken at creative events around the world and served as a Strange Foundation Fellow and Designer in Residence at the Meta Open Arts program. She is the founder of Gratuitous Type, a magazine of contemporary graphic design, and Less Than 100, a pop-up shop for wage parity. Since 2016, she has been a lecturer in the Image Text Ithaca low-residency M.F.A. program at Cornell University.
