Claire Fisher
Claire Fisher is the Program Assistant for the Cornell Mui Ho Center for Cities, where she provides support for Center initiatives, faculty research labs, and outward facing programming; supervises the Center's student workers; and helps support relationships with strategic partners. She also implements the Center's communication strategy, including producing and cohosting the podcast The Good City, as well as managing the Center's blog.
Claire comes from a diverse educational and professional background that spans science and the arts. She received her bachelors in neuroscience from the University of New Hampshire, and her masters degree in Landscape Architecture from SUNY ESF. Claire spent five years working in landscape architecture and planning firms before coming to the Center, working on a variety of projects including a major highway transformation project and a downtown art district. She is a writer and occasional freelance editor in her spare time.
Her nonlinear path reflects her interest in both the complicated connection between people and place, and the role of communication in creating the spaces we all want and need / furthering knowledge and action.
