Exhibition Abstract
Orienting herself through language, written and spoken, Laura Robert lays the groundwork for prayer, meditation, and community gathering. reverb collects remembered recycled images and sound guides, translating an ephemeral into an object transferable.
There will be live readings by Robert and guests starting at 6:15 p.m. during the receptions on August 28 and September 4.
Exhibitor Biography
Laura Robert came to Cornell to continue her Creative Writing education in 1988. As an employee, her benefits entitled her to four credit hours per semester. Through this program, she completed the coursework for an M.F.A. in Creative Writing. When she retired in 2014, she continued her education in studio arts, primarily print, sculpture, and photography.
By creating an environment of language and sound, Robert invites you to relate to one another in a self-guiding way.
