Exhibition Abstract
Paintings to explore the pressurized yet wholly inevitable cycle of fragmentation and realignment as corporeal and abstract experiences: Cici Liu (B.F.A. '24) and Eve de Rubertis (B.F.A. '25) explore imagery arising from divine and interpersonal attunement through their own distinct yet complementary handling of material. De Rubertis negotiates instances of preordained spiritual alignment within contemporary archetypes of youth, oscillating visually between the potentially emotive quality of painting and the supposed objectivity of photography. Liu explores physical manifestations of personal intuition and discovers moments of a consistent realignment between a subconscious narrative and material behavior.
