Art Space, Queens, NY

The project was intended to establish a crossroads through building site. After analyzing the surrounding context for a great variety of conditions including a sculpture park, an art studio, a kayak launch, and the heart of Queens, this building was designed with the intent of drawing those elements together in a melding of program and space. Light and circulation were closely linked as the progression through the space established a three-dimensional Venn diagram between various program elements.
