Why did you choose Cornell and AAP?

I chose Cornell and AAP because of the fact that the university values well-roundedness. This is something unique to Cornell, I was immediately attracted to the idea of being able to have a huge array of courses to choose from while still having one program to connect everything back to.

What inspired you to become an artist?

My mother inspired me to be an artist. I had always assumed that being an artist was attainable only once I was a professional artist or gone to school for it. However, it was because of her that I realized with some practice and great craftsmanship, I could become an artist within my very own home. She inspired me to understand that being an artist is more than just painting a pretty painting, but rather it is having the ability to instill meaning in the form of creativity.

What are your extracurricular interests and how have you incorporated them into your college life?

Economics, kickboxing, and cooking.

What do you hope to accomplish during your time at AAP and after graduation?

I hope to improve my skills and pursue more depth into myself as an artist.
