Cornell AAP has allowed me the opportunity to major in fine arts with a minor in architecture as well as get involved with so much on and off campus.

Why did you choose Cornell and AAP?

I chose Cornell and AAP because it is one of the best institutions to pursue a B.F.A. and also receive a well-rounded liberal arts education. Cornell AAP has allowed me the opportunity to major in fine arts with a minor in architecture as well as get involved with so much on and off campus.

What inspired you to become an artist?

I began to draw at a very early age and from there, I loved how image making could communicate so much to so many people.

What experiences have contributed to your sense of belonging at AAP?

I am very lucky to have the camaraderie between students and faculty at Cornell AAP. From my semester in New York City to Rome, I have become very close with my fellow students and have developed mentors in my field. It's amazing to have a community that shares a specific discipline.

What are your extracurricular interests and how have you incorporated them into your college life?

I was part of Cornell's track and field team and cofounder of Cornell Songwriter's Society. I love getting outside and writing music/poetry. I am a multi-instrumentalist as well, and enjoy music theory very much. I also got involved my junior year with Thread magazine as one of their photographers.

What do you hope to accomplish during your time at AAP and after graduation?

I am excited to continue to display my work on and off campus. I hope to connect, collaborate, and work with other students during my time at Cornell and after.
