All the people I met that worked at AAP carried themselves with a sense of drive and intelligence that I admired. They were serious about their fields of study and that was something I wanted to be a part of.

Why did you choose Cornell and AAP?

Over all the colleges that I visited, Cornell had an atmosphere that surpassed anything I had ever seen before. The beautiful natural landscape, coupled with the spotless campus and small college town, gave me a sense of home and community. The campus is far away from any major city and its distractions, but still has a small town with anything you would ever need. All the people I met that worked at AAP carried themselves with a sense of drive and intelligence that I admired. They were serious about their fields of study, and that was something I wanted to be a part of.

What are your extracurricular interests and how have you incorporated them into your college life?

During high school, I played on the lacrosse team. It was an incredible four years of practicing a skill and seeing hard work pay off. I also lead a group in a confidential peer to peer mental health club at my school called Peer Support. Outside of school, I love analog film photography, playing guitar, writing songs, and making art.

What do you hope to accomplish during your time at AAP and after graduation?

I hope to improve my creative skillsets and grow confidence in my abilities. I also want to learn about the world and become educated to take part in global affairs. Most of all though, I want to meet new people from all over the world and gain new perspectives.
