Michael Ashkin
Michael Ashkin is an artist working in photography and sculpture. His work has been shown at the Whitney Biennial, Greater New York, Documenta 11, Vienna Secession, MUDAM in Luxembourg, Artsonje Center in Seoul, and Kolumba in Köln. Ashkin has published five photobooks: There will be two of you (Fw:Books, 2023), were it not for (Fw:Books, 2019), Horizont (TIS Books, 2018), Long Branch (A-Jump Books, 2014) and Garden State (Workroom G, 2000). He has been awarded two Pollock–Krasner Fellowships, an NYFA Fellowship, and a Guggenheim Fellowship.
