Virtual Open House

Congratulations on your admission to Cornell University! We are thrilled at the prospect of seeing you here in Ithaca as a student in City and Regional Planning in August and look forward to helping you decide on this next important step in your educational career. Please join us for this year's virtual open house on Friday, March 25, and Saturday, March 26 to learn more about us. This is your chance to find out more about the unique opportunities available to our students, meet our faculty, and ask questions of current students. Friday, March 25 Programming

9:00 a.m. Welcome

9:15 a.m. Faculty Introductions

9:30 a.m. Department Overview with Sophie Oldfield, Department Chair

10:00 a.m. Academic Programs Introduction

Students will join break-out rooms by their degree. M.R.P. will meet with Nancy Brooks, CRP Ph.D. will meet with Mildred Warner, HPP with Jeffrey Chusid and Michael Tomlan, and Regional Science with John Carruthers.

10:45 a.m. The CRP Experience

Students will highlight their diverse experiences including workshops, internships, and exit projects. Finalists from the 4th annual CRP Poster Competition will present their posters.

Break

12:15 p.m. Colloquium Lecture with Joe Muturi: Community Centered Slum Upgrading: Lessons from Mukuru Special Planning Area Project, Nairobi

2:00–4:00 p.m. Office Hours with Faculty

Students can meet with faculty to discuss opportunities and courses within CRP and AAP
