Abstract

A city is only as good as its neighborhoods. While downtowns continue to struggle, the need for affordable housing and supporting neighborhood amenities in our most disinvested communities is at an all-time high. This lecture will focus on creating mixed-income housing communities and urban design and master planning approaches to revitalize underserved neighborhoods in select cities across the country.
