Overview

Please join us for the inaugural Ratan N. Tata Distinguished Alumni Award ceremony on Wednesday, April 16, at 5 p.m. in Milstein Auditorium

This event honors the life and lasting impact of the late Ratan N. Tata ('59, B.Arch. '62), whose leadership and philanthropy have profoundly shaped and benefited communities around the world. Ratan will be honored as the award's first recipient, posthumously, with Natarajan Chandrasekaran, Chairman of Tata Sons, accepting the award on his behalf.

Acclaimed architect Billie Tsien, AIA, will join us to present work and reflect on Ratan's impact on the field of architecture, and we are delighted to welcome Cornell president Michael I. Kotlikoff to share thoughts on Ratan's enduring commitment and contributions to the university.

The Ratan N. Tata Distinguished Alumni Award was established to recognize AAP alumni whose vision and commitment have made a meaningful societal impact, a testament to the faculty, students, and academic community that define our college's legacy and leadership. Ratan often noted the significance of his architecture education in shaping his life and perspective, and this award is an opportunity for us to honor his contributions and reflect on our discipline's role in shaping the future.

We hope you will be part of this special occasion as we honor Ratan Tata's legacy and celebrate the impact of AAP alumni around the globe.
