As an undergraduate at Cornell University, Maurice Bradford was a Varsity Football Player, a Meining National Scholar, and an honors recipient in the Urban and Regional Studies program. His interests include equity development, participatory planning, and the history of inequality. In the future, he aspires to become a leader in planning who focuses on uplifting disadvantaged populations through just development and proper planning. He is highly motivated and passionate about work that elevates those in need and is determined to see success for the disadvantaged.

"To better include the input of the public and remedy challenges associated with inclusion (e.g. displacement and gentrification), planning departments and development entities have incorporated participatory planning. These practices embrace co-creation and build social innovation by utilizing techniques that depend on community contributions. Using a participatory planning approach can better address the needs of marginalized communities while also functioning as a tool for preservation."
