Lera Covington is receiving her dual masters degrees in Regional Planning and Real Estate from the Baker Program in Real Estate at Cornell. With a passion for transforming communities through the power of real estate development, she intends to embark on a career in real estate acquisitions and development, focusing on residential and mixed-use projects that foster positive social impact. Lera has completed several internships as a graduate student, including a Summer Acquisition Associate position at Lendlease, and an Asset Management internship at the Albanese Organization.
At Cornell, Lera served as Co-President of the Association of Cornell Women in Real Estate, which aimed to promote the advancement of professional women in real estate. Her academic career includes several case competitions in real estate, including the ULI Hines Urban Design Competition. She later served as the teaching assistant for Assistant Professor Suzanne Charles for the 2020 competition program, where one student team later advanced to the finals.
Prior to beginning her graduate studies, Lera worked as an Auditor in Charlotte, North Carolina. She received her Bachelor of Science in Economics from Duke University.
