Striving for insight into landscape as architecture, this thesis utilizes the geography's conditions to extract logic. This code is a direct response to the site's layers, textures, scars, colors, patterns, edges, zones, field conditions, and natural operations. Through drawing, it takes lines, numbers, and collage elements to develop them into a visual grammatology that allows one to transfer everything on site into a diagram-like matrix, to spread it out, to weave it together again in order to make it available for fresh examination. The landscape is neither fixed nor passive but changing and active. The landscape is never finished or completed, it is an accumulation of history, a continuously unfolding inheritance.
