Los Alamos, New Mexico

I think art is so important to the world, and art is one of the most powerful and moving things in existence.

Why did you choose Cornell and AAP?

I visited Cornell and loved the campus and the programs offered. Their art program really inspired me as well. I've known about Cornell most of my life because my grandpa worked there and my mom and most of her family went to Cornell so I was super excited when I got the opportunity to apply!

What inspired you to become an artist?

I've loved making art my entire life. It's always been one of my biggest passions and something I've dreamed of pursuing. I love how you can express yourself through art and convey a message in a way words cannot. I think art is so important to the world, and art is one of the most powerful and moving things in existence.

What are your extracurricular interests and how have you incorporated them into your college life?

I love to sing, do gymnastics, draw and make art in general (obviously haha), and dance. I'm interested in pursuing some new extracurricular activities as well!

What do you hope to accomplish during your time at AAP and after graduation?

I really hope to gain experience and knowledge about art and what I can do in this field. I'm hoping to take part in the program in New York City for more opportunities and I'm super excited about that. Overall I'd just like to learn a lot of new things about art and to meet people with similar interests and passions.
