I am interested in residential design. I would also like to apply my skills to environmentally friendly design and function.
Why did you choose Cornell and AAP?
I chose AAP at Cornell not only because it is one of the nation's top architecture schools, but also because of the high quality of education the department displays. One perk of going to Cornell is that my twin sister (majoring in engineering) will also be attending. Both of us play musical instruments, and we hope to play in the Cornell orchestra together.
What are your extracurricular interests and how have you incorporated them into your college life?
I like to play the viola, and participated in a quartet near my hometown. I also enjoy sculpting, sewing, and running.
What do you hope to accomplish during your time at AAP and after graduation?
I want to learn the skills necessary to become, at the very least, a competent architect and at the most, an exceptional one. However, I don't know what kind yet. At this point, I am interested in residential design. I would also like to apply my skills to environmentally friendly design and function.
