I hope to learn as much as possible during my time at AAP. The university challenges its students to think critically about designing solutions, which will help me create a successful career.
Why did you choose Cornell and AAP?
Cornell is an amazing university with many successful alumni. After visiting the campus, I was amazed and set on going there. The facility was perfect in that it had countless resources to help produce work and awesome studio spaces. To top it all off, the campus itself was absolutely beautiful.
What are your extracurricular interests and how have you incorporated them into your college life?
I drew a lot growing up. I spent day to day drawing in a Chinese restaurant. It made drawing such a passionate skill for me that I never saw it as a hobby. I knew someday it would play a critical part in my career. I participated in almost everything that related to drawing in some way at my high school, from designing a banner for the robotics club to designing t-shirts for the international club. I enjoyed thinking of unique designs and transferring those ideas onto canvases. Outside of art, I love to exercise at the gym.
What do you hope to accomplish during your time at AAP and after graduation?
I hope to learn as much as possible during my time at AAP. The university challenges its students to think critically about designing solutions, which will help me create a successful career. Although my future path is unclear to me, I know for certain that what I learn will bring me to where my full potential lies.
