I chose Cornell and AAP because I wanted to attend a college that would teach me something I could not learn elsewhere, and to develop a completely new way of thinking in the field I want to enter.

Why did you choose Cornell and AAP?

Last summer I attended the Introduction to Architecture program at Cornell. It transformed the way I thought about and approached design, and lead me to observe the spaces I move through as part of my day-to-day experience with new consideration for their qualities. I chose Cornell and AAP because I wanted to attend a college that would teach me something I could not learn elsewhere and to develop a completely new way of thinking in the field I want to enter.

What do you hope to accomplish during your time at AAP and after graduation?

One of my biggest ambitions for my career is to build projects that are timeless and that resonate with a variety of people. I want to build with awareness and intention, such as environmental consciousness or site-specific design. At AAP, I hope to acquire the skills necessary to deliver such projects, and more importantly the mindset to do so.
