The thesis exhibition of work by Bec Sommer (M.F.A. '23), Self Insert and Bad End are two short films that constitute two years of reflection on the exercise of brutality via intellectual power, desire and its perceived ethics, and the blood that moralizers have on their hands. Featuring four musical numbers, two unrequited loves, two suicide scenes couched in metaphor, and so much detransition anxiety.
