The Priscilla and Robert Joy ('72) While in Rome Photography Prize is a competition for the best photographic portfolio. It is awarded annually to a Cornell student who has attended the AAP Cornell in Rome Program and whose photographs embody the spirit of the people of Rome. The photographs must have been taken during the semester the student was enrolled in the Rome program.
- Submission Deadline: November 20, 2023
- Winners Announced: December 1, 2023
- Eligibility: Any AAP student attending the AAP Cornell in Rome program in either the spring 2023 or fall 2023 semesters.
Submission Requirements
Submit one Digital Portfolio of max 10 digital images according to the following specifications:
- 10 jpeg files sized 1500 pixels on the long side, 300 pixels per inch (not to exceed 5mb in size).
- Files should be named: LastName_FirstName_Title.jpg

First Place: $500.00
The winning portfolio will be digitally exhibited on the AAP website and exhibited in the AAP Galleries. A $200.00 printing budget will be provided.
Honorable Mention (2): $250.00
Honorable Mention (3): $100.00
