For the spring 2023 semester students will submit a pre-enrollment ballot for their option studio and elective classes. All elective offerings are contingent on adequate enrollment. In the event of over-enrollment, enrollments will be balanced to ensure students are able to make significant academic progress in AAP NYC. We do our best to get everyone their first choice of classes although it is not guaranteed. If you have questions, contact Cheyanne Frutchey, cf399@cornell.edu.
The ballot submission deadline is Thursday, January 5, at 8:00 a.m. ET.
Students can confirm their enrollment in Student Center by January 17. Changes to classes may occur as normal during the regularly scheduled add/drop period in January.
Students who do not submit a ballot by January 5 may have to wait until the regular add/drop opens in the spring to enroll in elective classes.
Required Classes:
B.Arch. + M.Arch.
- ARCH 4101/4102/5115/5116 Design Studio (6 credits) — Although you can ballot for your option studio section, we will enroll you in the appropriate course # that aligns with your academic progress.
In total, students may not exceed 20 credits unless by petition. The expectation is that students will take between 12 and 18 credits.
Enrollment Notes:
- ART 3003 (New York City Studio) is open only to B.Arch. students to ballot.
- ART 3103 and ART 3805 are open to both B.Arch. and M.Arch. students to ballot.
- If you are a B.Arch. student wishing to enroll in ART 3003 (New York City Studio) then you must ballot for ARCH 4101/4102 section 531 with Jesse LeCavalier as there is a direct time conflict with Florian Idenburg's section of studio.
