Yeonkyeong Gina Park

Yeonkyeong Gina Park is a Research Associate at the Cornell Program in Infrastructure Policy (CPIP) and a doctoral candidate in Regional Science at Cornell University. Her research focuses on transportation and environmental health, as well as infrastructure policy for vulnerable and disadvantaged populations in climate change. Her expertise lies in techno-economic analysis using spatial statistics, data analytics, and visualization tools such as ArcGIS, Tableau, and Python. In her dissertation, titled "Toward a Just Transition: Implications of Urban Freight and Ports in the Environment, Energy, and Health," she investigates the impacts of port policies on local environmental health and analyzes the equity and justice considerations of the energy transition in freight trucks. Her work received the 2023 Women's Transportation Seminar (WTS) National Leadership Legacy Award Scholarship and the Young Scholar Award at the 36th US–Korea Conference on Science, Technology, and Entrepreneurship (UKC). Park's publications have been featured in prominent journals, including Transportation Research Part A: Policy and Practice, Case Studies on Transport Policy, Transportation Research Procedia, and the International Journal of Environmental Research and Public Health.
