Giorgio Martocchia

Giorgio Martocchia is an architect who graduated with a magna cum laude master's degree in architecture from the University of Rome "La Sapienza" in 1998. He has worked in Rotterdam and Rome, collaborating for many years in Massimiliano Fuksas's office as project leader in remarkable realized projects such as the Ferrari Research Center and the new Milan Trade Fair. At the end of 2006, he established his own practice, Modostudio | Cibinel Laurenti Martocchia Associated Architects, located in Rome.

Modostudio has been awarded and shortlisted in many international architectural competitions. The office completed several buildings and urban infrastructures, among which are the restructuring of the 1.2km Sewoonsangga Citywalk, located in the heart of Seoul, the new headquarters for the Elisabeth und Helmut Uhl Stiftung in the Alps, and a research building for Intecs SpA, a high-tech company in Rome.
