Gesa Büttner Dias

Gesa Büttner Dias is a practicing architect and writer, based in Los Angeles.

Büttner Dias recently completed the Boulez Chamber Hall in Berlin with Frank Gehry. In her 13 years at Gehry Partners, she was also the project architect for the residential development at Battersea Power Station, London, under construction; a pedestrian bridge for the Facebook Campus in Menlo Park, under construction; and the UTS business school in Sydney, completed. When she initially joined the office she was the lead coordinator for the interiors of the 75-story Beekman Tower in downtown Manhattan and oversaw the project through construction.

Büttner Dias was born in Hamburg, Germany. After receiving her M.Arch. from the Technical University Berlin, she lived in Paris and Chongqing before moving to Los Angeles to pursue a post-graduate degree at Sci-Arc.
