Remnants is an object and photography-based project that remembers the 492 people who died during the Cocoanut Grove Nightclub fire of 1942. The material remains of the victims were recorded in archived documents and live on as shadows of the clothing worn by people in Boston today. By centering garments, this project seeks to re-personalize the often dehumanized and anonymous data of loss.
