Housing Overview
While studying at AAP NYC in summer 2020, students are eligible to apply for modern, fully-furnished apartments at The House at Cornell Tech, an option that offers very flexible arrival and departure dates from late May through mid-August. In the past, we have been able to accommodate every student who wanted to live at The House, but please be aware that we have space constraints, and if there is more demand than availability, housing assignments will be made through a lottery process. Applications for the AAP housing can be submitted at the same time as the submission of your admissions deposit and will be accepted through 11:59 p.m. EDT on April 15. Assignments to The House at Cornell Tech will be announced by April 22. We strongly encourage you to consider this option as it includes many amenities including a lobby concierge, laundry, fitness center, student lounges, roof deck, as well as subway and ferry service to Manhattan (only a five-minute walk to AAP NYC from the closest ferry and subway stop). These apartments were developed with our students in mind, and with the express intention of minimizing financial risk associated with private rentals and sublets in New York City. Cornell Tech Housing Information
Cost: Rent will be charged at a rate of $3,750 for the summer term — including utilities, Wi-Fi, and broadcast television. The rent is charged as a whole on your summer-term Cornell bursar bill.
Term: The Cornell Tech summer semester occupancy period is May 27, 2020, to August 16, 2020. The license agreement will be for one private bedroom (full-sized bed) in a three-bedroom, two bathroom apartment. The apartment also includes a living room and kitchen.

Eligibility Requirements
Students are eligible to apply for AAP Cornell Tech housing in summer 2020 through an online lottery application process. Rooms will be available on a single-occupancy basis only. Room assignments will be made through a lottery process. To be eligible for the lottery, your admissions deposit and Cornell Tech Housing Application must be submitted by 11:59 p.m. EDT on Sunday, April 15. Any applications received after this deadline may be accepted on a space-available basis.
Application Process
- Accept Cornell's offer of admission and submit the housing application by 11:59 p.m. EDT on Wednesday, April 15. All applications submitted by this deadline will be eligible for the housing lottery.
- You will receive an email no later than Wednesday, April 22, indicating if you have been accepted into Cornell Tech housing or if you have been placed on the waitlist.
- You will have one week from the time of acceptance to officially commit to Cornell Tech housing by signing an AAP NYC Housing License Agreement. The agreement will be emailed to all students who are accepted into Cornell Tech housing and can also be requested from the Office of Student Services.
- Accepted students will complete a brief housing questionnaire. Room placements will be based on the questionnaire and students will be individually notified of placement.

Applications will be accepted through 11:59 p.m. EDT on April 15. By submitting this application, you are not guaranteed a spot in the AAP NYC Cornell Tech housing. Assignments will be made through a lottery process. Please contact the AAP Office of Student Services with any questions.
