Overview

Join the team as our Finance and Program Coordinator responsible for a diverse portfolio of tasks categorized into finance, course-based logistics, chair support, and program/office support.  As the Finance and Program Coordinator, you will:

  • Manage finance duties including accounting, purchasing, and financial transactions regularly.
  • Handle transaction activities like procurement card, e-shop, I-Want, and travel-related purchases.
  • Provide comprehensive support for department field trips and course-related travel, arranging flights, hotels, event tickets, and ground transportation.
  • Manages the Chair's calendar and email, coordinates travel logistics and reimbursements, and assists the department manager periodically.
  • Act as the primary point of contact for on-campus and off-campus stakeholders, including faculty, students, alumni, administrators, and vendors.
  • Prepare correspondence, reports, and presentations, and provide backup support for department staff as needed.
  • Remain flexible and adapt to changing work environments, accepting additional duties as assigned.
  • Collaborate with AAP Finance and HR Support teams.

The Finance and Program Coordinator role is a full-time, 40-hour-per-week, benefits-eligible position performed Monday through Friday, 8: a.m. to 4:30 p.m., with a hybrid schedule of 4 days on campus and 1 day remote. However, in order to ensure mutual success, we'd like for you to be on campus Monday through Friday during the orientation and onboarding period, the length of which will be determined by your supervisor. Details on your hybrid schedule and daily start and end times will be mutually agreed upon between you and your supervisor. Occasionally, there will be some evening or weekend events requiring flexibility for coverage, with advance notice provided. The position is performed primarily in Sibley Hall on Cornell's Ithaca campus.

The Department of City and Regional Planning (CRP) at Cornell offers a vibrant environment for tackling pressing planning issues, from social justice to sustainable development. The Department of City and Regional Planning is the home of leading programs in planning, historic preservation planning, and urban and regional studies and is comprised of approximately 20 core faculty, 120 undergraduate students, 150 graduate students, and 4 staff members.

  • Familiarity with Cornell-specific systems, policies, and procedures is advantageous but not mandatory.

Benefits

The pay range is $24.78 to $28.80 per hour.
