Marta Braulio-Gonzalo

Marta Braulio Gonzalo is an Associate Professor in the Department of Mechanical Engineering and Construction at Universitat Jaume I (Spain) and a Fulbright Visiting Scholar at Cornell University. Her research focuses on sustainability assessment and circular economy strategies in the built environment, with expertise in Life Cycle Assessment (LCA), building performance evaluation, and circular construction. Her current work explores methods and digital tools to support circularity and sustainability in buildings, integrating life cycle thinking into design and decision-making.

She is a member of the INGRES-LCSA research group and has participated in several national and international research projects on sustainable construction and the circular economy. At Cornell, she is collaborating with the Circular Construction Lab on research related to urban circularity and regenerative approaches to the built environment.

She holds a degree in Technical Architecture from the Polytechnic University of Valencia, a master’s degree in Energy Efficiency and Sustainability, a master’s degree in Secondary Education, and a Ph.D. from Universitat Jaume I, where she received the Extraordinary Doctoral Award.
