Ernesto Carvajal

Ernesto Carvajal is an Ecuadorian designer, educator, and cofounder of Efimero, a design studio based in Cyprus and the United States. His work spans academic buildings, public installations, and international symposium curation and programming. His projects have been exhibited at Harvard University, the Larnaca Biennale, and venues in Boston, New York City, and internationally. His practice and teaching explore uncertainty, crisis, sustainability, and design as an intuitive and investigative process. He is also working on a forthcoming book, On Learning, which examines architectural pedagogy through a series of interviews with architects from around the world.

Carvajal holds a Master of Architecture II from the Harvard Graduate School of Design, an MSc in Sustainable Design with distinction from the University of Edinburgh, and a Bachelor of Architecture from Universidad San Francisco de Quito.
