Join us for AAP Graduate Programs Virtual Information Week!

Monday, October 28, 2024 through Friday, November 1, 2024

Hosted by Cornell AAP's Office of Admissions, this week-long series of virtual events is designed to introduce prospective applicants to our diverse range of graduate program offerings. Over the course of the week, you'll have the opportunity to explore the cutting-edge research, scholarship, and creative practices that are shaping a more sustainable, just, and resilient world. Engage with faculty and current students to gain valuable insights into our graduate programs while learning about application requirements and tips for a successful submission. 

We invite you to explore our programs in a multitude of ways throughout the week. From open houses to current student panels, these sessions will be invaluable no matter what stage you are at in your journey toward graduate school. While not all programs will be hosting individual sessions during this week, we invite you to review our additional event lineup to explore other ways of connecting with our departments and learn more. We welcome you to register for any and all virtual sessions that are of interest.

Monday, October 28

Design Tech Open House: 10 to 11:30 a.m. ET

The Design Tech Virtual Open House will provide an overview of the new multicollege Department of Design Tech and information about the new degree program, a Master of Science in Design Technology, to interested prospective students. Attendees will have an opportunity to meet the inaugural Design Tech faculty and Department Chair Jenny Sabin. The format will include a presentation and an open Q&A session. 

Cornell AAP Graduate Programs Overview: 3 to 4 p.m. ET

Join us for an informative overview of Cornell AAP's graduate programs, where you'll learn more about our diverse range of offerings. This event is perfect for prospective applicants at any stage of their exploration, providing insights into our unique academic opportunities across our five departments, their eligibility requirements, and more.

Tuesday, October 29

M.F.A. in Image Text Information Session: 12 to 1:30 p.m. ET

Learn about the M.F.A. in Image Text program at Cornell University. Applications are now being accepted for the summer of 2025. Codirectors Nicholas Mueller and Catherine Taylor, former faculty guest speakers, and current students will give a short presentation of the goals and structure of the program, followed by a Q&A session. 

M.F.A. in Creative Visual Arts Current Student Panel: 7:30 to 8:30 p.m. ET

Join us for an engaging panel discussion featuring current M.F.A. CVA students from Cornell AAP, who will share their experiences, insights, and creative journeys. This event offers a unique opportunity to gain perspective on the M.F.A. program, explore diverse artistic practices, and engage with emerging artists at the forefront of contemporary art and design. We encourage you to submit your questions in advance using the registration webform.

Wednesday, October 30

Cornell AAP Graduate Application Tips and Tricks: 9 to 10 a.m. ET

Discover the essentials of applying to Cornell AAP's graduate programs in our focused session on application requirements, deadlines, and tips. This event is designed to guide prospective applicants through the process, offering valuable advice to help you submit your application and stay on track with important deadlines.

Thursday, October 31

Graduate Programs in City and Regional Planning Information Session:    7 to 8:30 p.m. ET

Join Cornell's Department of City and Regional Planning to learn more about our Master of Regional Planning (M.R.P.), M.A. in Historic Preservation Planning, and M.S. in Regional Science programs. Prospective graduate students will learn about our curriculum, research labs, and opportunities to study in Ithaca, New York City, and Rome. Faculty and students will be on hand to share their experiences. 

Friday, November 1

Cornell AAP Graduate Programs Overview: 9 to 10 a.m. ET
