Master of Regional Planning (M.R.P.) Fall 2026 Information Sessions

Join the Department of City and Regional Planning and AAP Graduate Admissions for a series of virtual information sessions focused on the Master of Regional Planning (M.R.P.) program. Prospective applicants are welcome to attend any and all offerings, but topics will be slightly adjusted throughout the fall. Learn more about each session below.

Prospective graduate students will learn about our curriculum, research labs, application requirements, and opportunities to study in Ithaca, New York City, and Rome. Faculty and students will be on hand to share their experiences. Sessions will include a live Q&A. Come prepared with any and all questions!

Virtual Information Sessions

• International Applicant-Focused: Portions of this session will provide information specific to our International applicants (visa timing, earlier application submission, TOEFL/IELTS scores, etc.) but we encourage all interested applicants to join!
  • Thursday, October 1 at 8 a.m. ET
• Explore M.R.P. Session: This session will serve as a traditional virtual open house. Hear about the program, research opportunities, and application requirements in depth from faculty, current students, and recent alumni.
  • Thursday, November 19 at 7 p.m. ET
• Application-Focused Session: For our final virtual information session of the fall we will focus on tips and tricks around application requirements. Hear from the M.R.P. Program Director and Assistant Director of Graduate Admissions on how best to approach each piece of the application.
  • Thursday, December 10 at 11 a.m. ET

In-Person Opportunities

The Department of City and Regional Planning is excited to open CRPConnect! to prospective applicants. This symposium is a celebration of 90 years of research, practice, and community – inviting leaders in planning to Cornell’s Ithaca Campus to address a range of current topics impacting cities, communities, and the discipline today. Join us to connect with faculty and current students and expand your network.

Please note that this event takes place in-person on Cornell’s Ithaca, New York campus. Registration is required and free for prospective applicants (select “Current & Prospective Students” when registering). Attendees are responsible for arranging and covering their own travel and accommodations.
