Sauvanithi Yupho (M.R.P. '20)

A native of Bangkok, Thailand, Sauvanithi Yupho has practiced as an urban planner and designer in several consulting organizations, working in a range of master planning and comprehensive plan projects throughout the Chiang Mai Province. At Cornell, Sauvanithi’s interest examined the vulnerabilities of community infrastructure from climate change and sea-level rise. Sauvanithi served as a research assistant for Associate Professor Linda Shi, where she returned to Bangkok in December 2018 to collect data and conduct interviews with various professionals to determine the city’s resiliency measures in comparison to other global cities.
