The AAP Student Services office is your one-stop place for academic and personal resources. Located in B56 Sibley Hall, our knowledgeable staff can help you enroll in courses, develop your career strategy, plan an international experience, and provide academic resources.
Your academic department will offer you specific guidance about your degree program. You will have a faculty advisor assigned to you before classes start and throughout your time here, they’ll ensure you are on track to complete the course requirements for your major. Each department has a Director of Undergraduate Studies to guide you along your academic path.
Academic Support
Academic support resources can be accessed through academic advising with our student services staff, or through your department. Tutoring and study skills are just two of the resources offered by the Learning Strategies Center, a place devoted to meeting the diverse needs of Cornell’s undergraduate students. AAP has in-house tutoring for certain architecture courses as well.
Career Development
Career advising and guidance for summer jobs, research opportunities, internships, and full-time employment are all available to AAP students. Our AAP career development staff will help you think about utilizing your summers and breaks, and how to explore your career interests. Handshake is Cornell’s employment resource for finding internships and full-time job opportunities.
Health and Well-Being
Health and well-being resources can help you reach your peak student performance. When you need someone to talk to there are many resources available at Cornell. AAP student services staff can help or refer you to other important campus resources. Whether you are struggling with academic stress, homesickness, relationship issues, or mental health concerns, support is available. Cornell Health is your primary resource for health concerns or issues.
