Cornell in Rome: Predeparture Information

Before your departure to Rome, there are a number of matters that require your attention in order for you to arrive and be prepared for a semester abroad. Each of these six sections gives important information about a particular piece of the process, and what you need to complete before your departure. Pay careful attention to the information in these sections, since much of it is time sensitive or requires planning in advance. January 17 Italian language arrival: mandatory permit to stay appointment and apartment orientation
January 20–24 Italian Language Instruction (all day)
January 22 Regular arrival date
January 23 Regular arrival: mandatory apartment orientation
January 24 Regular arrival: mandatory permit to stay appointment (morning)
Orientation: meetings and reception (afternoon)
January 25 Orientation: walking and bus tour
January 27 Instruction begins for other courses
March 14–22 Spring Break
April 12 Easter holiday
May 8 Last day of instruction
May 11–12 Reviews
May 14 Exhibition of student work
May 15–17 Study period
May 18–19 Final exams
May 22 Departure from Rome; apartments closed
