Student Organizations

CRP’s vibrant student-run organizations shape department governance and culture. Visit each of the student organization pages for information on how to get involved.

OURS — Organization of Urban and Regional Studies

The mission of OURS is to form a community among undergraduate students in the URS program at AAP, to open wider perspectives of the field of urban and regional studies through hands-on urban experience, and to give voice for undergraduates in City and Regional Planning department affairs.

OCP — Organization of Cornell Planners

The Organization of Cornell Planners manages departmental professional development and social events for master’s students enrolled in regional planning, historic preservation planning, and regional science programs. OCP also provides mentorships to incoming graduate students with a student mentor-mentee system; collects and disseminates information regarding departmental events and job opportunities; and provides social events where alumni, students, and faculty can network together.

IPSO — International Planning Students Organization

The mission of IPSO is to build relationships with international development students in other departments at Cornell and other universities around the US, and to link planning theory and practice for students in the international studies concentration.

WPF — Women’s Planning Forum

The Women’s Planning Forum celebrates women’s contributions to the fields of planning and development, provides a forum for discussions about gender issues, and embraces the full diversity of women. We strive to challenge gender discrimination and promote gender equity in the classroom, university, and society.
