Seth Sgorbati is the founder of Sgorbati Projects, a contemporary art gallery in New York City. Since 2013, Sgorbati Projects has worked with artists and curators to present a series of group exhibitions. Because of his previous experience as associate director of Mary Boone Gallery, New York, Sgorbati has been able to work with both emerging and established artists. In 2015, Sgorbati Projects will begin an exhibition schedule focused on artist's solo exhibitions, presenting work of varied practice.
"My experience at Cornell was vital to a career in the art world," says Sgorbati. "A fine art education coupled with the interaction with a diverse student body and the ability to take classes outside of my field strengthened my focus and broadened my worldview. This became a touchstone for entrepreneurship and the beginning of a career working closely with artists to facilitate their work and ideas."
