Sebastian Restrepo is a Ph.D. candidate in the Department of City and Regional Planning at Cornell University. His research examines the implementation of peace agreements in conflict and post-conflict contexts, with a particular focus on multilevel governance, institutional coordination, critical junctures, and social welfare policies. Before beginning his doctoral studies, he accumulated more than fifteen years of professional experience in public policy and regional development in Colombia. At the National Planning Department, he coordinated the implementation of international cooperation projects with the World Bank, the Inter-American Development Bank, and the Government of the United Kingdom to support Colombia’s multipurpose cadaster policy and strengthen land tenure security, territorial development, and environmental sustainability. He holds master’s degrees in public policy and engineering, a specialization in project management, and a bachelor’s degree in industrial engineering.
