Marié Nobematsu-Le Gassic is an artist working with the body through writing, photography, movement, and temporary site-specific installation, often grounded in theories of syncope/syncopation. She also designs books, coproduces allapart (’25 cohort publication), and is the cofounder of a publication of critical writing and imagery. Nobematsu-Le Gassic holds a B.A. in architecture and urban design studies from New York University and a Meisterschül. (M.F.A.) in sculpture from Kunsthochschule Weißensee Berlin as a DAAD Scholar. She has recently exhibited at EMOP Berlin, Kunsthalle am Hamburger Platz, and Beaux-Arts de Paris. She is based in Brooklyn, New York.
