Marc Onion

A native of Newark, New Jersey, Marc Onion is an educator, storyteller, and image maker. His imagination leans into memory and history, particularly in their link to place, from southern country roads to northern street corners. He holds a B.A. in English from Boston College and an M.A. in English Education from NYU. His primary mediums are prose and photography, but his earliest bridge to creativity was comics. His commitment to his creative process is parallel his attention to the understanding of and appreciation for the relationship between images and texts in his classroom. He cares about the learning and teaching of written images and seen words.
