Kurt Brosnan

Kurt Brosnan supports the College of Architecture, Art, and Planning’s material practice spaces by helping faculty, staff, and students transform ambitious ideas into successful physical projects. His work spans technical operations, digital fabrication, equipment management, safety, workflow development, and interdisciplinary collaboration, supporting teaching, research, exhibitions, and public-facing initiatives across the college.

Trained in architecture, Brosnan’s interest has always centered on the relationship between design and making. Over the course of his career, he has developed expertise in CNC machining, digital fabrication, robotics, woodworking, metalworking, additive manufacturing, and fabrication workflows. He enjoys working with faculty and students during the early stages of a project, helping translate creative ideas into practical fabrication strategies while balancing technical possibilities, available resources, and operational considerations.

Outside of Cornell, Brosnan is a local business owner who operates a design and fabrication studio focused on custom fabrication, CNC machining, and parametric design. He enjoys exploring emerging fabrication technologies, developing new workflows, and creating systems that make complex making processes more accessible, sustainable, and collaborative.
