The opportunity for dialogue with peers has exposed me to different world views but also confirmed our shared experiences.
Why did you choose Cornell and AAP?
I chose Cornell and AAP because it offered the opportunity for me continue my artistic passions while having the opportunity to explore other disciplines. As a result, I was fortunate to pursue a concurrent degree and complete the bachelor of fine arts in AAP and a bachelor of arts in American studies in the College of Arts and Sciences.
What experiences have contributed to your sense of belonging at AAP?
My peers in art studio courses and my continued work as a printmaking studio monitor have greatly impacted my sense of belonging at AAP. The opportunity for dialogue with peers has exposed me different world views but also confirmed shared experiences.
What are your extracurricular interests and how have you incorporated them into your college life?
Although completely unrelated to my academic interests, being part of a Cornell club soccer team has allowed me to expand my community and create a sense of belonging at Cornell. Also, it has been a great way to de-stress!
What do you hope to accomplish during your time at AAP and after graduation?
After I graduate, I will be attending graduate school. Additionally, I hope to continue my work as an artist.
