Fany Kuzmova is an architect, designer, and educator dedicated to bridging architectural design, urbanism, community engagement, and teaching. She holds a Master of Architecture from Yale University and a B.A. (Hons) in Architecture from the University of Cambridge. Her professional experience includes roles as a Designer at Atelier Cho Thompson in the US and as an Architectural Assistant in a variety of architecture studios across London and Cambridge, UK.

Kuzmova believes in the intersection between academia and practice and has served as an Architecture Tutor for more than seven years, curated and taught a summer course at Immerse Education–UCL, London, as well as taught workshops with the organization Architecture for Children in Sofia, Bulgaria, since 2015.

She taught at Yale as a teaching fellow for various undergraduate classes, including Urban Lab, Scales of Design, American Architecture and Urbanism, and Introduction to Urban Studies. Her work has been published in Yale Retrospecta, and her independent study, New Haven, Revisited, is currently exhibited at the New Haven Free Public Library. Her undergraduate dissertation, “Preparing Children and Young People for Participation in Planning and Design,” was awarded First-class honors. Her vision for the future of architecture emphasizes its role as a tool for fostering active participation, inclusivity, and empowerment within communities.
