Eric Hibit

Eric Hibit (born in Rochester, NY) is a visual artist based in New York City. He has exhibited at Morgan Lehman Gallery, Deanna Evans Projects, One River School of Art + Design, Tiger Strikes Asteroid, TV Projects, Hexum Gallery, Weatherspoon Art Museum, Wege Center for the Arts at Maharishi University, The University of Vermont, and elsewhere. His work has been covered in The New York Times, New York Post, Seven Days Vermont, and Winston-Salem Journal. Artist residencies include Terra Foundation, Kingsbrae International Residency for the Arts, and Green Olives Arts in Tétouan, Morocco. Publications include Dear Hollywood Writers, with poet Geoffrey Young; Paintings and Fables, with writer Wayne Koestenbaum; and Color Theory for Dummies, published by Wiley. He is currently Codirector of Ortega y Gasset Projects, an artist-run gallery based in Brooklyn, NY. He attended the Corcoran College of Art & Design (B.F.A.) and Yale University School of Art (M.F.A.).
