Clara Syme
Clara Syme is an architect, curator, and educator based in New York City. She is a founding member and codirector of a83, a nonprofit architecture gallery, archive, and printmaking studio, where she has curated and designed more than twenty exhibitions since its establishment in 2020. At a83, she also organizes public programs and educational workshops, contributes to the production of fine-art print editions, and serves as director of archival materials.
Syme is codirector, with Owen Nichols, of the architecture and design practice Chibbernoonie, which was featured in the U.S. Pavilion at the 19th International Architecture Exhibition of La Biennale di Venezia. She teaches at Cornell University and at the Irwin S. Chanin School of Architecture at The Cooper Union.
