Brian Havener (M.Arch. '17) is currently a teaching associate for a design studio focused on the mass customization of heavy timber construction and a research associate for the Robotic Construction Lab, where he is developing new forms of heavy timber framing based on mathematical topology. Aside from research in the lab, he is interested in furthering the work of his thesis, which aims to harness the potential of transparency, reflection, and projection as they relate to the construction of perception in architecture.
Havener has practiced most recently at OMA, on the Facebook Willow Campus, and at the office of Adrian Smith + Gordon Gill on the 2017 World Expo and various super-tall tower projects.
Havener holds a master of architecture from AAP and a bachelor of science in architecture from the University of Cincinnati.
