Aya Mears (B.Arch. '18) was hired as a teaching associate after graduating from AAP with a B.Arch. degree. While a student, she was the president of the student group Thumbnail, an architecture lecture ambassador, and an AAP student ambassador. She interned in Seattle, Washington, at Suehiro Architects, the SRG Partnership, and Jones and Jones Architects, in addition to undertaking research with Andrea Simitch, the Stephen H. Weiss Presidential Fellow and chair of the Department of Architecture.
- ARCH 1101 Introduction to ArchitectureIntroduction to design as a conceptual discipline directed at the analysis, interpretation, synthesis, and transformation of the physical environment. Exercises are aimed at developing an understanding of the issues, elements, and processes of environmental design.
